I didn’t want to bore you with my talking, so let’s get right to it! The star on the top, orb on the bottom: a common element in all of the Outer Senshi’s Lip Rods, so I decided to keep it. Has the Saturn symbol in purple. The purple orb: Our Senshi’s namesake, Saturn. I made it purple for the main colour of her fuku. The rings: Suprisingly, I put a lot of thought into these. In reality, Saturn has 1000 rings, so I wanted to put more than one. I chose 3 for 2 reasons: For the 3 other Outer Senshi, and 3 of Hotaru’s character traits. The white one represents Hotaru’s purity: the sweet, frail girl who just wants to be loved, values friendship, who would risk her own life to save someone else’s. Another element to this is her title: The Soldier of Death/Ruin and Rebirth. (Her reincarnations) Rebirth – White, Death/Ruin – Black.
